Service terms

About these terms

These terms apply when a business creates or uses a CoverDock workspace. CoverDock is operated by WebConnect Media. The person accepting them confirms that they are authorised to act for the business. Contact us at info@webconnect.media.

The service

CoverDock provides booking, guest, front-of-house, menu, event and related hospitality-management tools. Features depend on the selected plan, connected providers and venue configuration. We may improve or replace features while preserving the essential purpose of the service.

Accounts and access

The customer is responsible for accurate details, authorised users, secure passwords and staff access. Shared front-of-house PINs should be used only where individual attribution is not required. Suspected unauthorised access must be reported promptly.

Customer responsibilities

  • Use CoverDock lawfully and provide guests with an appropriate venue privacy notice.
  • Keep opening hours, availability, prices, menus, policies and event details accurate.
  • Honour or appropriately resolve accepted bookings and ticket commitments.
  • Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing material or attempt to bypass security controls.
  • Maintain any email, payment, domain or third-party accounts connected to CoverDock.

Plans, trials and payment

Free and Pro features and limits are shown on the CoverDock website. Trials, promotions and referral credits may carry additional conditions shown when offered. Paid subscriptions, invoices, payment methods and venue licences will be administered through the WebConnect client portal. Venue deposits and event payments are separate transactions between the venue, its guests and the venue’s connected payment provider.

Guest transactions

The venue, not WebConnect, is responsible for the hospitality service, booking decision, event, refund policy, allergens, accessibility information and guest dispute. CoverDock provides the technology used to record and communicate those arrangements.

Availability and support

We work to keep CoverDock reliable and secure, but no online service can be guaranteed uninterrupted. Customers should maintain a sensible service fallback. Planned maintenance and material incidents will be communicated where reasonably possible. Support is available through the contact route supplied with the customer’s plan.

Data and intellectual property

The customer retains its rights in venue content and customer-controlled data. The customer gives WebConnect the permission needed to host, process and display that content to provide CoverDock. WebConnect retains rights in the CoverDock service, software, design and documentation. Data handling is also governed by the privacy notice and data-processing terms.

Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted where needed to protect the service, comply with law, address serious misuse or respond to non-payment. A customer may stop using the service subject to its subscription arrangements. We will provide a reasonable opportunity to export eligible data unless access must be restricted immediately for legal or security reasons.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, WebConnect is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, a venue’s hospitality service, or failures caused by the customer or third-party providers. Any further liability limits applying to a paid service will be stated in the customer’s order or service agreement.

General

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. English law governs these terms and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise. We may update these terms with reasonable notice where a material change affects existing customers.
