Who we are
CoverDock is a hospitality booking and guest-management service operated by WebConnect Media (referred to as “CoverDock”, “WebConnect”, “we”, “us” or “our”). You can contact us at info@webconnect.media.
When a venue uses CoverDock to manage its guests, the venue normally decides why and how guest information is used and acts as the data controller. WebConnect processes that information on the venue’s behalf. WebConnect is the controller for CoverDock account, service administration and direct marketing information.
Information we handle
- Account and business details, including names, work email addresses, roles, venue details and authentication records.
- Guest and booking details supplied through booking, event, waitlist and venue-management journeys.
- Operational records such as table assignments, booking status, staff-attributed changes, email delivery and support activity.
- Payment references and status supplied by a connected payment provider. CoverDock does not store complete card details.
- Security and technical information including IP-derived rate-limit fingerprints, browser requests, device pairing and system logs.
Why information is used
We use information to provide and secure CoverDock, fulfil bookings and ticket orders, communicate service messages, support venue teams, prevent abuse, maintain audit records and improve reliability. Where WebConnect is the controller, the usual lawful bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, legal obligations and consent where it is specifically requested.
Sharing and processors
Information may be shared with the venue a guest has contacted and with service providers used for hosting, email delivery, payment processing, monitoring and customer support. Providers are given only the information needed for their role and are required to protect it. We do not sell personal information.
International processing
If a supplier processes information outside the UK, we use an appropriate transfer safeguard where required. A venue may also operate in another country; its own privacy notice should explain how it handles guest information.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the service, security, contractual and legal purposes. Venue-controlled records follow the venue’s instructions and the applicable data-processing terms. CoverDock uses access controls, encryption for stored provider credentials, signed sessions, audit records, backups and tenant separation to protect information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information. Guests should normally contact the venue first. You can also contact WebConnect at info@webconnect.media. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local supervisory authority.

We may update this notice as CoverDock develops. The latest version and its update date will remain available on this page.
